STAFF at Stockton Heath Pharmacy are offering residents extra help during Stoptober.
The campaign running throughout this month aims to get people off cigarettes for 28 days as research shows that if you go that long smoke free you are five times more likely to stop for good.
Enda Bradley, manager at the pharmacy based at The Forge, said: “It’s no secret that the benefits of quitting smoking are enormous, both in terms of health and your bank balance.
“A massive part of my role as a community pharmacist is to support anyone who wants to stop smoking. Quitting is a challenging thing to do and we’re here to guide our patients and help them to find what works for them.”
