STOCKTON Heath was invaded by badgers as a campaign group spent the day raising money.
Volunteers from the Wirral and Cheshire Badger Group dressed as badgers to collect money for its vaccination programme.
They hit London Road with the support of Pets Pantry, and collected £163.
In return Jane Cullen, secretary of the Wirral and Cheshire Badger Group, gave a talk on badger welfare to Pets Pantry customers and staff.
More than 40 members of the group have volunteered to help with the five-year vaccination programme including surveying land for badger activity, setting traps, pre-baiting, supporting the vaccinators and storing and cleaning traps and equipment.
