A LADIES’ day is being held at Lymm Rugby Club.

The event, including a fashion show, takes place on June 19 and starts with coffee from 10.30am.

More than 200 women attended last year’s event and organisers hope to double it this year.

Representatives from each school’s PTA are helping to organise the day and proceeds will be split evenly between the schools and the rugby club’s own charity Grassroots.

Tickets are £30, including lunch a glass of fizz and goodie bag, and the theme is ‘dress to impress’.

Collette Cartwright, from the club, is behind the event.

She said: “Ladies’ day last year was such a huge success – each PTA raised almost £500.

“It was also brilliant fun. Lots of ladies who came to support the event told us what a great time they had.

“I hope women will see this is a chance to dress to impress, come out in force and enjoy lunch with friends in a beautiful setting.”

GET ready to tee off for charity in High Legh.

A Golf Waltz team golf competition in aid of the Brainwave Centre at Birchwood will be held at the club on June 11 with a shotgun start at 1pm.

It costs £300 per team of four including a two-course meal. To enter e-mail alister.cook@bran castercare.co.uk or call 07989 320183.
