YOUNGSTERS got up close to the residents of Walton Hall Zoo during a discovery day.
Rangers at the zoo opened the doors to children to get a hands on experience with a variety of animals.
Then they had the chance to make their own animals crafts.
If your little ones want to find out more about life in the zoo they can sign up to be zoo keepers for the day.
Walton Children’s Zoo will be running its popular zoo keeper for a day event next Thursday, August 28.
There are two sessions from 9am to 10.30am then from 11am to 12.30pm where budding rangers aged from five and above can help look after the zoo’s residents.
Parental supervision is required and as places are limited book in advance on 601617 choosing option two.
