WALTON Lea Partnership is enjoying a blooming relationship with Stockton Heath Medical Centre.
The surgery has chosen the horticultural project as its charity of the year.
So far the two have teamed up with Walton Lea creating hanging baskets and making the centre’s scarecrow for the Stockton Heath Festival while the surgery is raising money and awareness of the charity.
The money raised helps the scheme carry out projects such as cleaning up the war memorial in Walton.
Kate Finch, from the Walton Lea Partnership, said: “We found out that Walton Parish Council had put an appeal for someone to get it looking spruced up for the anniversary of the First World War.
“So we went and helped out with cleaning it up, painting it and putting some plants in.”
