STOCKTON Heath Pharmacy is supporting Alcohol Concern’s Dry January campaign by encouraging people to visit the pharmacy and access a free NHS service which gives advice on alcohol intake.

During the month, people will be encouraged to stop drinking alcohol, and pharmacy manager Enda Bradley is urging people to pop in to the store, on London Road.

"Our pharmacists and staff can offer advice as part of a standardised intervention called alcohol intervention," she said

"And brief advice which assesses an individual’s drinking habits and offers effective structured advice.

“With the help of our pharmacy team, you can get a better understanding of your drinking habits and the effects these have on your health.

"Most people have heard about alcohol units but many are unaware of what these actually mean."
