A BAND of climbers faced blustery conditions to complete a three peaks challenge in memory of an Appleton man.
Chris and Stephen Daintith, along with a group of friends, tackled the 24-hour trek to help raise money for Aintree Hospital after their dad Ron underwent treatment there.
Ron, who ran Daintith Upholstery, died aged 63 in October after battling cancer for five years.
His wife Pat and more walkers also joined them on the final leg up Snowdon.
Pat, of Kingsley Drive, said: “The conditions were terrible, you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face but by the time we came down it soon cleared up.
"We have raised more than £3,000 now and we would like to thank everyone who took part and donated.”
