A LYMM resident is hoping a jumble sale will help propel her towards a massive trek in October.

Carol Robinson is a long-time supporter of the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, based just outside Lymm in Millington.

And she is joining a group raising money for the charity by taking on a climb up Mount Toubkal in Morocco, all 4,167m of it.

In March she is organising a jumble sale at the village hall on Pepper Street as part of her fundraising effort for the trip.

It takes place between 2pm and 4pm on March 21 with free entrance.

‘Each year we must raise in excess of £1,000,000 in order that we can continue to fulfil our promise to children who visit the farm’ Helen Crowther Shoppers can choose from clothes, shoes and accessories with refreshments and cakes available.

Helen Crowther, from CAFT, said: “Each year we must raise in excess of £1,000,000 in order that we can continue to fulfil our promise to children who visit the farm.

“Joining the trek to Mount Toubkal Carol will help us to provide these amazing, once in a lifetime experiences to many special children in desperate need from all over our region.”

The charity provides day trips and holidays to the farm, offering life-changing experiences and opportunities to thousands of terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children each year.

October’s fundraising missing will see the team of challengers climb the Atlas mountains in Morocco.

The five-day trip will include a three-day trek to the summit of Mount Toubkal which includes stunning scenery, breathtaking views and warm, friendly Berber people.
