MORE than £100,000 was raised at a Fairytale of New York-themed night to raise money for a Millington charity.

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust’s Annual Ball 2014 at The Mere was attended by 320 guests who were treated to a night of glitz and glamour.

The charity’s patrons Noddy and Suzan Holder, Dame Sarah Storey and Barney Storey and Catherine Manford joined the esteemed list of guests for a night of fun and fundraising.

The evening was sponsored by Thermotech Fire Protection Ltd who also attended the event.

Events fundraiser Pippa Watton said: “It was such an amazing night, everyone had a brilliant time.

“We really can’t thank our supporters enough for everything they continue to do for us.

“The money we have raised tonight will change the lives of countless children in 2015.”

A grand auction, which included prizes such as holidays to Grenada, Crete and New York, collected £36,000.

Patrons Noddy and Suzan Holder took to the stage to give a heartfelt speech about the importance of the charity’s work, prompting 25 guests to pledge to raise funds for the 2015 Free Holiday Programme.

Live music was provided by Shake the Barley who entertained guests during the drinks reception and The Velvet Tinkers filled the dance floor.
