Birchwood healthy family zone given £64,000 to develop unwinding area

FAMILIES will be able to unwind and get fit as part of a new project.
The Birches healthy family zone has received more than £64,000 from environmental organisation Wren to develop an area where parents can get together with their children to exercise and relax.
The zone is being created by Frontis, a member of Your Housing Group, in partnership with Locking Stumps Primary School, Thomas Risley Church and Birchwood Partnership.
Fitness equipment will be installed with activities for children.
The zone is expected to open in October.
