ANGRY residents have hit out over plans for an auction house on Penketh Business Park.

Neighbours said the proposals will add to an already congested area on Liverpool Road and insufficient parking on the site will lead to more cars parking in an ‘illegal and dangerous manner’.

But nearby homeowners are also unhappy that only four homes received notification of the plans from the council with letters also being sent to two empty units on the business park.

Neighbours called the move ‘underhand’ and have said they will be writing letters to the council.

A council spokesman said: “Due to a fault with our system, we initially consulted with fewer neighbours than we would ordinarily do but once we identified this issue we extended the consultation to 24 neighbouring properties which meets our requirement to consult with residents regarding a prospective development.”
