Police address anti-social behaviour in Poulton

POLICE say they are addressing anti-social behaviour in Poulton after complaints that incidents were not being dealt with.

Officers have met with housing associations to discuss issues on Montrose Close, Blackledge Close and Valiant Close.

Clr Dougie Ashbrook, chairman of Poulton with Fearnhead Parish Council, had hit out at what he claimed was a police failure to act on incidents.

Patrols were also upped during February around Perth Close following bouts of anti-social behaviour, while eight thefts from vehicles were reported last month.

A man has since been arrested on Whitchurch Close after he was seen trying to open car doors. He was bailed and given an evening curfew.

Residents are asked to ensure cars are locked.

Police have also focused on youths loitering at shops on Insall Road. They have been identified as Lysander High School pupils and parents have been notified.
