WORK experience placements can be tricky - do you stay out of the way, make brews, chirp up with idea after idea?
Orford 17-year-old Abbie Gartland did such a good job when working for the NHS, she turned her feedback into an advice leaflet for future applicants.
Abbie, an A-level student hoping to study medicine at University, was on a placement 'shadowing' a cardiac consultant at Wigan Hospital.
"The application process was quite complicated. I explained this to my mentor at the hospital and we decided it would be really useful to have a guide.
"I hope it will make the process a bit smoother for future students.”
