A TALENTED 10-year-old from Stockton Heath is keeping his feet on the ground after playing the lead part in Her Benny at The Brindley theatre.

Finn Richards, who has been acting, singing and dancing on stage since he was four years old, impressed the 400-strong crowd in Runcorn last Sunday but he has already set his sights on the future.

The St Thomas' CE Primary School pupil starred in his first major theatre performance last year in ABD Productions' Peter Pan show and since appeared in Annie Get Your Gun before his latest show.

But even though his career is still in its early stages, Finn is already showing the commitment and dedication required to perfect his performances.

Although working closely with ABD, the rising star attends weekly training sessions at Stockton Heath's AT School of Dance, and he admits it is paying off following the Her Benny show.

"It was a really good performance - I really liked it," he said.

"I did the same kind of thing with Peter Pan last July, it can be really tense."

Joining Finn in the audience at The Brindley was dad Jonathan, mum Christina and younger sisters Amelia and Kitty - all of whom were thrilled with how Finn performed.

"I am so proud of him - I can't put it into words and can't believe it," said Christina.

"He did so well to get the part and he only started singing lessons a week before it.

"A lot of it is also down to the production company for helping Finn on the way.

"Finn loves to learn. He does dance, drama, singing and acting at the weekly sessions."

Finn is now focusing his attentions on training and is looking forward to continue his blossoming relationship with ABD.
