fearnhead woods get new £1.2m website

WOODS in Fearnhead feature on a new £1.2 million website aimed at encouraging the use of green areas.
The Woodland Trust wants people to explore woods that are seldom used.
Enfield Park Road woods, near Poulton Golf Club, features on the list at VisitWoods.org.uk. Visitors can log on to the website to leave comments.
Gail Graham, VisitWoods project manager, said: “The beauty is that most of the information is added by people who have visited each individual wood.
The database has been funded by a £1.2 million grant from Natural England’s Access to Nature scheme.
