It is rocket science

A ROCKET that could one day take tourists into space has been shown off at Lysander High School, Padgate.

The 12-metre tall Skybolt is a prototype of the Starchaser 5 rocket, a design that may spearhead space tourism in the future.

Skybolt can hit speeds in excess of 3,200mph and reach a height of 440,000ft.

Teachers hope that displaying the model will increase student interest in physics and engineering.

The event was organised by Aimhigher for Warrington, which tries to emphasise the importance of higher education.
