TNT apprentices are on a mission to help family charity
A TEAM of apprentices from TNT Post at Gemini, have set their sights on raising £1,000 for children’s charity JUMP.
Laura Glover, Jason Jones and Justin Isherwood, all aged 19, David Rigby, aged 18, and Nathan Wedlin and Sean Green, both aged 17, are determined to raise funds for the charity, who provide support to children with life-threatening illnesses.
The charity works with families to capture special moments with their family and friends, later displaying the photos in a memory book, which acts as a lasting tribute to the individual.
The memory books also aim to put a smile back on a child’s face when they are suffering from their illness.
The friends at the Ruropa Boulevard firm have joined forces to raise as much money as possible for the worthy cause.
Lauren said: “We all agreed on this charity as it is local and, as many staff at TNT have children, it would hit home.
“Many would be able to relate to this and, if something like this happened to them, they would appreciate the support.”
If the team can raise £1,000, it would enable the charity to buy three memory books.
The group plans to hit its target by organising hamper raffles, opening a tuck shop and a pool competition.
The TNT Post apprenticeship scheme, which the six friends are currently signed up to, was launched to provide individuals with the opportunity to develop their business skills.
