A HATTON pub is ready to continue delivering for diners and drinkers after being renamed following the success of its food business.

Landlord Mark Bell, who runs the pub with wife Gina, made the decision to turn The Hatton Arms into The Hatton Pub and Grill just over a month ago.

After taking over the pub, on Hatton Lane, last summer the pair have easily adjusted to life but Mark, aged 48, admits the support of the community has been remarkable.

The former sports agent also said his previous career shares many similarities with his current role.

"The grill side of things picked up a lot so I think it was right to change the name but we are still focusing just as much on the pub side of it all," said Mark.

"Everything has been rebranded but we have not changed the interior.

"Being an agent is the same thing – it is about trying to look after people as best as we can and is all about the community, the people are great."

The pub has already taken Christmas bookings and launched a loyalty club last month, which has 350 members signed up.

It will be open during the Creamfields festival this weekend and will be putting on a number of offers.

England cricketers Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler popped in for a steak a on June 22, a day before securing a Twenty20 victory over New Zealand.
