STOCKTON Heath Primary School pupils taking part in athletics lessons have been given a new lease of life following the arrival of new kit.

The school, on West Avenue, received the new supplies following dedicated work from parents and organisations in helping to raise key funds, as well as from the Government's Pupil Premium scheme.

The kit has been hailed for 'recognising' the school and it is hoped that more children will want to get involved in sport to stay fit.

"This will give the children the opportunity to wear the kit and show it off," said Simon Dow, PE co-ordinator for the school.

Simon, aged 35, who also runs Active Soccer in the town, added: "I have done a lot with the school and it is great to be involved with all that is going on.

"For me, I have to say the kit does make a difference and it is nice for the children."

The school is welcoming any businesses, companies or individuals interested in acting as a sponsor to get in touch.

Additional resources are set to be brought into the school in the coming months.
