A PERSONAL trainer at a Stretton hotel is offering guests a motivational wake-up call after creating a workout scheme to kick away the early morning blues.

Wake Up to Work Out, introduced by Jeff Sandow, is made up of several 'workout of the day' segments which can be watched on bedroom TVs at the Park Royal to allow guests to workout in the comfort of their own room.

The workout can also be accessed on Android tablet touch screens attached to gym equipment and comes as part of the hotel's sustained plan to to help guests get in shape after overindulging during the festive season.

"Once Christmas and new year’s eve parties are over, the next thought on everyone’s minds is getting back into shape and joining a gym to burn off all the mince pies and alcohol," said Jeff.

The 33-year-old fitness enthusiast, originally from South Africa, added: "However, statistically, by February gym membership levels are back to pre-Christmas levels, so the most important thing is get into a regular fitness routine.

"Being away from home need not affect this - our Wake Up to Work Out scheme is our way of helping guests maintain their fitness regime."

The training regime has also been personally tailored to help guests fit in a workout without disrupting their fast-paced lifestyle during their stay.

"I know from experience that it can be difficult to fit in a workout when you have work and life commitments," said general manager, Paul Gallon.

"So we want to make it easier for our business and leisure guests to look after themselves away from home.

“The new equipment also enables users to stay online with hotel Wi-Fi throughout their workout, something we know is particularly important for business travellers and leisure guests who need to keep up to date on their e-mails and social media network while working out.”
