PUPILS at an eco-friendly school are feeling top of the class after they became the first school in Warrington to be handed a five-star energy rating.
Youngsters at Great Sankey Primary School are only the second in Cheshire to receive the rating and were handed their certificate from Eco Schools for their ‘whole school approach’ to energy efficiency.
The award follows the school receiving a green flag for its eco-friendly technology including windows which open automatically depending on levels of carbon dioxide in each classroom.
