ORGANISERS of Penketh Community Primary School’s community picnic and fair have thanked everybody who supported the day after youngsters smashed their fundraising target.
Pupils hoped to collect £750 after creating their own money-making stalls as part of an enterprise project but were delighted to turn the £5 notes they were given to start their stalls into £1,136.
Nikki Attwood, from the school, said: “The turn out was amazing and the community really came together.”
