AN Orford childminder has been given a glowing report by Ofsted.

The education watchdog inspects childminders as well as schools and in its report of Annette Carey, of Poplars Avenue, Orford, said she provides an ‘exciting range of learning experiences for children’.

“Children are very content and happy within the childminder’s care,” said Ofsted.

“It is clear that they have established warm and trusting relationships with her and their behaviour is good and managed well.”

“The childminder has a good understanding of the safeguarding and welfare requirements, which means that children are kept safe and secure in her care.”

Mrs Carey has 11 children on her roll, using an extension of her Orford home as base, with a garden for outdoor play.
