Ideas needed on improving community services in Orford
3:26pm Thursday 22nd March 2012 in News
YOUR thoughts are wanted on how to improve community services in Orford.
The team at Radley Common Community Centre, off Windermere Avenue, is bidding for cash to improve the area.
It needs ideas on where money should be spent, whether on a play area, football pitches or climbing walls.
Improvements would be focused on Grasmere Avenue and Greenwood Crescent.
Margaret Higham, a volunteer at the community centre, is in discussions with community sponsors.
She said: “There are not many activites for the kids around here.
“It’s up to us to raise the money so we’re asking the public what they want.”
Suggestions can be marked on whiteboards at a table top sale at Radley Common on Saturdayat 10am.
Anyone who jots down an idea will be entered into a raffle with a cash prize.
There will also be a visit from Wolfie, a tombola, face painting and refreshments.
