WORK to thin trees on Blackbrook Avenue has begun to help light get into the gardens of residents.
Trees next to the Hawthorn Centre and St Bridget’s Primary School have already been cut back with further work planned.
Poulton North Clr Geoff Settle (LAB) said “This has been a long time in coming for St Bridget’s Close residents.
“A key element was gathering the evidence of the trees impact after years of little or no landscape management.
“I would like to thank everyone for their patience and support.
“We have at last got a slice of the budget for this much needed maintenance work to take place.”
