tips on how to make your belongings more secure in culceth
3:30pm Thursday 12th July 2012 in News
FREE tips on how to make your home and belongings more secure are being offered by Cheshire Police.
PCSO Steve Dodd, who covers Culcheth, Glazebury and Croft, said: “We will be offering crime prevention advice and security marking for phones, laptops, i-pods and any other items people bring along.
“Marker pens will be available.”
SmartWater, a colourless liquid solution that can be used to identify your valuables, will be on sale at the event.
It cannot be easily seen by the naked eye and is almost impossible to remove.
But the special liquid glows under ultraviolet light making it easy for the police to detect if items are stolen.
Special constables will be on hand to talk about their role and offer information to anyone interested in joining.
The force exhibition vehicle will be on Sainsbury’s car park in Culcheth from 10am until 2pm on Saturday, July 28, and at the youth centre car park in Smithy Lane, Croft, from 9am until noon on Monday, July 30.
