Prison patrol following car thefts at HMP Risley

COMMUNITY police officers made 52 high visibility patrols to the visitors’ car park of HMP Risley last month following a spate of thefts from cars.
Five motorists reported having property stolen from vehicles and one car was deliberately damaged.
A CCTV camera has now been installed with signs warning that recordings are being made.
A joint agency operation is being carried out this month.
