A TAXI firm has helped a blind man from Birchwood reach his charity fundraising goal as part of a gesture to 'restore his trust in the Warrington taxi trade'.
Edward Green, of Noble Close, was refused a taxi outside Central Station on September 12 because he had a guide dog. Warrington Borough Council is investigating.
Another driver from Direct Taxis came to his aid and took him on his journey.
Now the Evans House based company has donated £150 to Mr Green after he had his chest and back waxed to support Guide Dogs Week.
Asher Cyrus-Hinds, social media manager for Direct Taxis, said: "As a token of good faith and to hopefully restore his trust in the Warrington taxi trade and us we decided to help him hit his goal."
