A TEENAGER at Sir Thomas Boteler High School in Latchford has proved she is a budding bard.
Emma Jane Fellows, aged 14, won a poetry competition run by Age UK.
The charity said her poem was chosen because it represents the values of Age UK and their mission of Loving Later Life perfectly.
Emma said: “I have really enjoyed writing this poem. Loneliness among older people, whom can perhaps find no reason to make the most of their later life, is a tragic issue and I think this poem may encourage people to think that old age isn’t the end – it’s an entirely new chapter in life.”
