CHAPELFORD surgery has revealed 53 people failed to turn up to appointments during March.
The figures from the CCA Care Partnership found out of 2,630 appointments booked at the Burtonwood Road practice in Great Sankey, approximately 8.5 hours had been wasted by patients who did not bother cancelling their slot.
A spokesman added: “The financial cost is £1,325 and a cost to those patients who could not get an appointment and may have generally needed it.”
