THIS Great Sankey youngster was feeling on top of the world after climbing one of the Lake District’s peaks to raise cash for Save the Children.
As previously reported in the Warrington Guardian, seven-year-old Bodhi Davies said he wanted to help children that 'did not have the things he does' after seeing an advert for the cause on TV.
After climbing 525ft mountain Brant Fell during the Easter holidays, the generous youngster has now raised £300 and received a card from Warrington South MP David Mowat congratulating him.
Proud mum Jennifer, of Baltimore Gardens, Chapelford, added: “He also held a cake sale and raised £15 from that and after seeing him in the Warrington Guardian more friends and family sponsored him and my mum and dad's colleagues too.
“He really enjoyed the climb.
“It took him two hours and for a couple of days after he said that his bum was aching but now he is planning a run for his next charity fundraiser.”
