Appleton Thorn school toddlers training for mini-marathon

APPLETON Thorn Pre-School toddlers are training for their own charity fun run for Sport Relief.

The Stretton Road pre-school has been getting its 26 pupils aged between two-and-a-half and four years old ready for the Sport Relief mile, which takes place on Sunday at Victoria Park.

Co-ordinator Michelle Duffield said: “To their little legs a mile is almost a marathon, so we’re really proud that they’re keen to give it a go. I imagine they’ll be the youngest runners on the day.”
