A PASSIONATE 28-year-old Stockton Heath man has landed a dream role with the world's leading virtual reality firm.

Nathan Isherwood will become a software developer at EON Reality, based in Manchester, after securing the position following training at the company's innovation academy in the past year.

After gaining vital experience, the former Bridgewater High School pupil insists he is ready to help EON sustain its growth.

"I would really recommend the course to anyone," he said.

"It's different from an apprenticeship and more like hands-on training.

"EON is an exciting company to work for and this is a great time to get into the virtual reality sector which is really booming."

Nathan is one of ten students from the course to have been offered the '3D developer' job.

EON's reality managing director in the UK Ken Swain said: "He worked extremely hard and is passionate about 3D content creation.

"In September we will be welcoming our next intake of students to the EON virtual reality innovation academy.

"The academy supports up to 100 talented individuals a year in developing skills in programming and application creation, 3D and virtual reality design and development.

"Upon completion of the programme, more than half of the successful students will be recruited to join the EON team.

"We still have a few places available for the next course and encourage anyone interested to come along to one of our open days to find out more."

The Academy is fully funded by EON reality, with no fees incurred by students.

It is a training course which teaches students using current state of the art technology and is taught by 3D experts from around the globe.

EON offers the opportunity for people to develop applications and work under supervision of its experts that are being used by businesses and educators.
