A KIND-HEARTED sister has been spreading some Christmas cheer while also raising cash for a worthy cause.
Jill Deakin, of Bramhall Street, Sankey Bridges, held her third annual children's Christmas party at the Roosters club in Sankey Bridges with 82 children from the area attending.
The fun-filled day included a visit and gift from Father Christmas as well as a raffle helping to raise cash for the Royal Liverpool transplant games team.
The cause is close to Jill's heart as her brother Steve Deakin is manager of the team while he prepares for his third kidney transplant.
Jill added: "The money raised will help the competitors in sports including swimming, squash and badminton, take part in the next transplant games.
"Every year we pick a different charity to support but this year I wanted to help my brother.
"It was a brilliant day and we raised £382."
