PUPILS at Penketh High School have been praised for helping to run primary school sports leagues in netball, rugby, football and cricket.
This term years 10, 11 and 12 have had nine teams competing in girls netball.
Sue Jones, PE teacher at the Heath Road school, said: “The increase in confidence and skill of the pupils is evident as the league progresses and as I have been running these for many years now the programme is embedded in the primary PE curriculum with many schools basing their extra curricular activities they offer each term around the league."
