PLANS for a taller telecommunications pole have received criticism from residents living nearby.
The proposal for a 17.5m pole to replace a 14.8m column on a grass verge at the back of Drayton Close, Great Sankey, has led to homeowners questioning if there is a limit to how high masts can be.
One disgruntled resident commented: “This telecommunication column has already been increased in height in the past couple of years.
”Has the planning department looked at the visual impact this mast will have and the added problems engineers or contractors cause when parking their vans either on Sycamore Road, which is a busy single lane road, the grass verge and at times causing an obstruction to pedestrians?”
