A PENKETH College student is feeling top of the class after becoming one of 16 people in the country to be awarded a scholarship from the University of Aberystwyth.
Year 13 student Hannah Myers had to sit two exams before she was presented with an unconditional offer for the English literature, drama and theatre course.
She said “I feel really proud to have achieved this and I would have never been able to do it without the support of my teachers.”
Head of college Amy Turner said everyone wished the talented pupil luck for the future.
She added: “I am immensely proud of Hannah, she is a dedicated student and all her hard work has paid off.
“She went through a rigorous process up against many other candidates to be one of the successful 16.”
