100 attend exclusive Lymn event raise thousands for African health education charity

ALMOST 100 guests who attended an exclusive event in Lymm raised thousands of pounds for a charity that provides vital health education in Africa.
The evening, themed Inspirational Women and hosted by Jannette Harris, welcomed Lymm’s elite to the water tower, which has featured in numerous TV programmes and has also won a RIBA Award for architecture.
Guests enjoyed canapés, supplied by chef Aiden Byrne, and champagne while listening to professional musicians.
One of the evening’s highlights was guest speaker Adele Pennington, the only British woman to have climbed Mount Everest twice.
More than £3,500 was raised for Act4Africa, the Altrincham-based charity founded by Kathy Smedley.
