Fire crews lend Beavers a hand

YOUNG Beavers were given a visit from Birchwood Fire Station.

The members of the 9th Warrington East Beaver Scout packs, who meet at Gorse Covert Primary School, were working to complete the final stages of their safety badge.

The 23 children were given a full tour of the fire engine and a full hose drill demonstration along with a fire safety talk. Watch manager Jason Fletcher came on the trip.

Beaver Scout leader Lesley Marshall said “The children always enjoy these sessions with the fire service.

“They are very educational as well as being a lot of fun and give the children a valuable insight into the work of our emergency services.”
