GET some green-fingered inspiration from the Culcheth and Croft Open Gardens weekend.

The event, which raises money for St Rocco's Hospice and Culcheth Methodist Church, will be held on July 4 and 5 with 10 gardeners throwing open their gates from 1.30pm to 5pm.

There will also be a plant stall and teas on both days and on Saturday Culcheth Methodist Church will be open for coffee from 10am to noon with some musical entertainment at about 10.30am.

Lunches will be provided by the Guides and Brownies at the church from 12.15pm and there will also be an exhibition of wedding photographs.

The 10 open gardens can be found at 26 Cawley Avenue, 25 Cawley Avenue (with teas), 17 Beechmill Drive, 51 Twiss Green Lane, 5 Culcheth Hall Drive, 29 Culcheth Hall Drive (with plant stall), 1 Chatsworth Avenue, Noyna in Common Lane, 44 Severn Road and 32 Waddeson Way in Croft.

Tickets cost £4 in advance or £5 on the day . They can be bought from the gardeners, at the church, at St Rocco's or at Poynton's florist in Lodge Drive, Culcheth.

The last time Culcheth and Croft Open Gardens was held in 2012 it raised £3,400.
