GLAZEBURY residents are being urged to lock their sheds and garages after a spate of break-ins.

Police say that three sheds and one garage were all targeted by thieves on October 31 with a number of bikes stolen.

PC Natalie Whitehead said: "We advise residents to ensure that they have adequate security in place to protect their valuables that are kept in sheds and outbuildings.

"Ensure that all windows and doors are secured. Always lock or chain cycles together or to something fixed or bulky while in the shed or garage as this reduces the ability for a thief to steal them."
