FORGET meditation, yoga, gardening or a mug of chamomile tea.
Betsan Corkhill believes knitting is one of the best therapies.
The author, clinician and founder of Stitchlinks recently visited Black Sheep Wools in Glaziers Lane, Culcheth, and spoke to customers about the meditative, creative and social benefits of knitting that she has been researching since 2005.
Betsan also runs a therapeutic knitting group at an NHS pain clinic in Bath and regularly gives talks to doctors and healthcare workers.
Lesley Cragg, from Black Sheep Wools, said: "It was really good. There was even talks of Livewire Warrington setting up therapeutic knitting sessions at their hubs in the new year!
"Quite a few medical professionals came along to ask advice on how they can set groups up in their area too."
