CULCHETH resident Helena Campbell has replaced Clr Lilian Houghton on the parish council.
Clr Houghton had to stand down from Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council due to health reasons.
She was the council’s chairman on two occasions.
Clr Keith Bland said: “Lilian has worked very hard for the community she loves, she will be missed and we would like to pass on our good wishes and that she gets well soon.”
Clr Campbell has joined her husband, Clr Paul Campbell, on the council after being co-opted as councillor for the Culcheth ward.
The Bollin Close resident previously served the council and was chairman in 2010.
She added: “Having worked and lived in Culcheth for more than 30 years I am in daily contact with the residents and understand deeply the issues that really affect them.”
