TWENTY-three year eight pupils at William Beamont Community High School have been awarded the Diana Certificate of Excellence.

The award recognises the outstanding contribution of young people who work together in groups to improve their communities, organisations or schools.

Head teacher Maggie Wiiliams said: “The year eight pupils have been chosen for this award because of their commitment and work in preparing the year six pupils for high school. “We are very pleased that our year eight pupils have had their hard work recognised in this way because the value of this project to all the young people involved is immense.”
