CHILDREN at St Margaret's Primary School in Orford have been giving a helping hand with road safety - with a gift of high viz jackets.
The donation saw 300 vests given to pupils by Specsavers in Warrington town centre.
It was part of an initiative set up by the opticians as part of Road Safety Week.
Store director Andrea Eaton said: "At this time of year with the dark mornings and nights, combined with the winter weather, it can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians, and dusk is particularly hazardous when the children are walking home from school.
"We wanted to help increase the safety of children in Warrington."
