POLITICIANS are perhaps not best known for reading stories to children.
That was the job of Warrington North MP Helen Jones when she visited Beamont Primary School, O’Leary Street.
Mrs Jones told tales to youngsters, as part of National Bookstart Week, aimed at encouraging children to read.
She said: “Research shows that taking a bit of time each day to read with your child has long-lasting benefits.”
