THIS year’s Orford Festival has been hailed a success after 2,000 visitors turned up to enjoy the day out.
Clr Mike Hannon (Orford – Lab) and former Mayor of Warrington, Clr Peter Carey opened the festival at Orford Park and also started the community walk.
It was held as part of First World War centenary commemorations, and led by territorial soldiers from the barracks on O’Leary Street.
LiveWire, which organises the festival, raised more than £500 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association with a cake stall.
