AS CHRISTMAS edges ever closer, people across the town will no doubt be worrying about gaining a few extra pounds as they indulge in the festive treats.

But a Bewsey gym is offering a helping hand to those worried about adding a couple of inches around their waste by claiming finding a balance is the key to success.

CrossFit Warrington, based on Hoyle Street, opened last year and co-owner Sukh Sidhu said the gym is focused on the Christmas period.

“There is definitely a fear from people of losing some fitness over the Christmas period,” he said.

“I think the key to staying fit during the couple of weeks coming up is about really finding a balance and not to lose control.

“If people do find a balance then they will continue to enjoy staying fit and stick to their goals.

“It is vital to not only have a routine, but also to stick to it.”

But the fitness enthusiast added that even the most dedicated of people should give themselves a break.

“You should enjoy Christmas and indulge in foods that you like as it gives the mind a break,” added Sukh.

“As long as people get back on track afterwards then limited damage will be done.”
