Demolition decision

PLANS to demolish a farmhouse in Glazebrook and replace it with a house were due to be discussed by councillors as the Guardian went to press.

Members of Warrington Borough Council ’s development control committee were due to meet at the Town Hall last night to discuss plans for Hollingreave Farm in Dam Lane.

Blueprints would see the existing farmhouse knocked down and replaced by a new home and two existing agricultural barns turned into five homes – one affordable.

Rixton with Glazebrook Parish Council objects to the scheme believing it is over development in the green belt.
