DAKOTA park on the Chapelford estate, Great Sankey, will now open in time for the Diamond Jubilee weekend in June.
Good news for residents also came in the form of the council agreeing to move forward with a traffic regulation order on a cycle lane on the north side of Boston Boulevard.
Clr Kevin Reynolds said: “Parking in the cycle lane has raised numerous complaints from residents within Chapelford and this positive move forward should take pressure away.”
